Why subscribe?

Because its free. That seems like a good start.
To be honest my page has such low activity because I’ve never been able to get my head round the subscription model — it just doesn’t work for me.
The problem is if I am writing fiction, which is my preferred activity, or longer non fiction items, new material can be irregular with long gabs between the arrival of new content, and it just doesn’t seem fair to ask for a regular subscription when people are not going to get a regular delivery.
